Q: Will a trail camera pick up small animals? Rabbits and such?
A: Yes, with a 0.2s fast trigger speed and the "Sensitivity Motion Sensors" set to high sensitivity, will allow you to pick up small animals such as mice, squirrels, rabbits, young raccoons, or birds.
Q: How long do alkaline batteries last in trail cameras?
A: The Scorpa™ Trail Camera consumes very little power (less than 0.08 mA) in a stand-by (surveillance) state. This means it can deliver up to one year on stand-by.
However, there are many variables that can affect a battery's life span, such as the ratio of the night to day photos, video modes(the longer the video, the faster the batteries drain).
Q: Does this take a standard sd card or does it need a mini card(TF card)?
A: It uses a Micro/mini sd card(TF card), 0.04 x 0.59 x 0.43 inches, supports up to 200GB.
Q: Do these have microphones to pick up the sound too?
A: Yes, you can pick up sounds as well. It can also be changed not to pick up sound in the "Audio Recording" menu.
Q: What is the length of the video clip?
A: Video length is optional between 3-60 seconds or 1-10 minutes.
Q: Does this camera accept solar panels?
A: Yes, an external 6V DC power source with at least 1.5A can be connected to the DC port at the bottom of the camera. The power connector is a 3.5x1.35 mm coaxial DC power plug with positive tip (inside pin) polarity. Leave internal batteries in the camera during use.

A: Humans can see infrared light, but most animals cannot.
